The meadow festival in the blaich district of kulmbach has been taking place since 1899, so there was no way it could be cancelled this year, even though the monchshof brewery is currently unoccupied. Helga metzel and bernd sauermann, the managers of the museums at the monchshof in kulmbach, and their team made sure of that. After a colorful procession through the lovingly decorated blaich, the students of the meubdoerffer elementary school, accompanied by the burghaig music society, moved into the secluded beer garden to be treated to drinks, sausages, cakes and sweets.
As has been the tradition for many years, all those present began by singing the frankenlied before lord mayor henry schramm wished the children an enjoyable vacation. Something very special was presented by the students of class 1/2 a. The performance of the song "les parties du corps (the parts of the body) with the corresponding movements represented the conclusion of the project "experience france with all senses" dar. The P-seminar french at caspar-vischer-gymnasium under the direction of thomas greim, with the meubdoerffer school as an external partner, had set itself the goal of giving the children an initial insight into the french language and culture. Who could have guessed that france would also win the world soccer championship?. "Allez les bleus" therefore thomas greim called out with his seminar participants at the meadow festival and the children shouted loudly "zickezacke, zickezacke, hay, hay, hay!"
